What so you mean?? I bought my edge like 3 months ago. No problem whatsoever. Even the FFCC ROC moogle of death screen... I never saw it (whilst I never updated the firmware.)
And for the price I payed 32 Euro's ( wich should be about 40 dollars??) So what do you mean expensive???

I don't know bout your teachers edge. Maybe he got a faulty one. or maybe he just cant use it. Anyway, the point is not to judge a product I jsut ONE person you know has problems with it.
