Debates aren't about competition. Just pick a topic, and let us debate it out.

It doesn't seem tat bad, zx. Just let them do it. It might get very interesting because for certain topics you point out, you might learn something new.Zxblood wrote:This is lame...>_>

I agree to referee, kisuke. Let's get a topic going.
Can't think of one at the moment.

What's the topic?
Oh, and there's no need to schedule debates when we have a forum.

For one thing, people might not be able to make it at the arranged time.
Besides, I don't see the point of scheduling this.

Yeah, It's not like the other debaters will be able to walk away in the middle of the debate. It'll haunt them

Re: debate!objection!take that!hold it!
Umm... kind of hard, considering we being on an NDS forums site.
As much as a hardcore NDS fan as I am... I'm going with PSP.
Sure it had a sucky start, but the games out now are good.
Syphon Filter, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, the Final Fantasy I&II remakes(LOVED Final Fantasy I ), the UMD movies(movies on the go? heck yeah! ), Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles(what made this game good is that it had Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, one of the best games in the world, on it), and a lot more games that were just so cool. You could also mod this system and play emulators that the DS couldn't, even though mine isn't modded... yet.
So, yeah. That's what I got to say for PSP.

Re: debate!objection!take that!hold it!
I'm going to have to second Benaji's motion towards the PSP. In many respects, the DS can be a great system... But it falls under the "novelty" or "fanboy" categories more times then not. Sure, the touch screen is great. Responsive, genuine (at least when it came out), and fun! But too many of the games that try to use the touch screen just seem to use it as a gimmick. Now, while there are great games out there with full use of the touch screen, i.e. Cooking Mama, Wario Ware, Advanced Wars, and many many more, there are games where the usage of the touch screen seems to be put in just to be there! For example... Did anyone need to the touch screen in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow to make it amazing? All it was used for were short little spells to defeat bosses, and one spell used to destroy giant blocks of, what looked to be, ice.
And now for the other side of the coin, the PSP. As Benaji said, the PSP had a super weak launch, but if you keep up with Sony, they seem to know exactly what they were doing. Sales for the PSP and the PS3 have gone up exponentially in the past year or so, but that is beside the point. The PSP was introduced as not only a gaming machine, but a multi-media player as well. This is one of the PSP's strong points. Without modding the system you can listen to music, watch movies, and surf the web, all on one hand-held console. Now, before you get technical and say the DS could surf the web, I dare you to use the DS web browser and enjoy yourself, its not possible! lol
Game selection is also a common issue. Both systems have excellent games you can play for hours on end. But there are some games, on both consoles mind you, that never should have been thought up! While Brain Age was fun, how many more versions and clones do we have to produce until we realize that we are just doing school work? As for the PSP... Yes, there were tons of fun games back in the 80's and 90's but why do you have to bring them back in these 10 games in 1 anthology series! We want NEW games! Not old games with new soundtracks... Sheesh! lol
All in all, the world has once again proved itself in technological advancements through the world of gaming. The PSP and the DS are both great gaming devices, but when you look at the big picture of it all, the PSP is really the better system.
Now all of that is not to say it is silly to like the DS more, I understand that many people out there aren't looking for a multi-media player, they're looking for good video games. So whatever fits your bill, feel free to do just that. Thanks for reading, I hope I made since!
